I. The Function of Welding Filters

Welding filters are indispensable key components in modern welding. They not only provide operators with a clear view and precise positioning of the weld point but also effectively block ultraviolet and infrared rays as well as stray light from strong and arc light. During welding operations, the light intensity produced by the arc is extremely high, causing significant irritation to the eyes. Long-term exposure to such high light intensity can lead to eye fatigue, dryness, keratitis, and in severe cases, blindness. Using welding filters can reduce light intensity, alleviate eye fatigue, and minimize radiation damage.

II. The Functions of Adding Filters Are:

1. Protect the lens and prevent stray light from appearing in front of it.

2. Eliminate or weaken reflections in the light.

3. Make the subject clearer and brighter.

4. Enhance the contrast of the image, enrich the tonal range and color expression ability.

5. Increase the sharpness of the photo (equivalent to a pre-CCD filter).

6. Improve the color saturation and contrast of the image (equivalent to the color adjustment function of color negative film), enhancing the image's appeal.

7. Reduce noise and minimize graininess. (Equivalent to the noise reduction function of digital cameras.)

8. Adjust the ambient color temperature by changing the color temperature. (Equivalent to the daylight white balance function in film photography.) 。
